The “Journey to Oasis” exhibition, a collaboration between Gonchigsumlaa Foundation and Lham Galleria, was unveiled on March 10, 2023.
This exhibition was inspired by the “Ulaanbaatar OASIS” project, a joint initiative by the Gonchigsumlaa Foundation, H.O.W Architecture, and the Global Shapers Community. The “Ulaanbaatar OASIS” project aims to enhance greenery around the city’s water distribution points and create public green spaces for families and children.

As part of this initiative, seven photographers showcased 17 photographs, curated by Dr Cristina Bonani, at the “Journey to Oasis” exhibition. Architect D.Urnukh’s installation and O. Nyam-Ochir’s blue calligraphy artwork was featured, symbolizing water as the source of life. Seven photographs were sold during the exhibition, and the proceeds were donated to support the “Ulaanbaatar OASIS” project.
The exhibition successfully raised awareness about urban green spaces and contributed to the sustainable development of Ulaanbaatar’s public areas.
